More bollocks from 'Gary Leach'...

GlawSurfer21 | July 16 2015, 9:03PM Take no notice of any of this! What is of greater importance and of supremely greater interest to all those who know anything about rugby union, is Gloucester Rugby and the goings on at Kingsholm. And when it comes to Gloucester Rugby, what the club really should have done the season before last was to ensure that Rupert Harden (our first choice, our most talented and our most complete tight head prop) started as many games for Gloucester as was possible. More bollocks from 'Gary Leach'... Then why the fuck don't you block him? How can you criticise the Citizen for their complete inability to stop the Rupert Harden troll, when you do nothing to stop Gary Leach from polluting this forum?

More bollocks from 'Gary Leach'... Then why the fuck don't you block him? How can you criticise the Citizen for their complete inability to stop the Rupert Harden troll, when you do nothing to stop Gary Leach from polluting this forum? I can criticise the Citizen because they employ, or subcontract, people with the specific job of moderation of their site, and take a big hit to their reputation when those people still blatantly fail to deal with these individuals. And actually, I hadn't realised that this was the Favourite Places page for Glos Politics, and not TrollhunterX. Honest mistake. Now the forum's been disinfected, are you going to be contributing again? You seemed to vanish, along with the other guy, after the election was over...

Why would Joe do want to do anything about Gary when he's clearly spamming his own forum?

Explain how that works, anonymous and completely unaccountable guest?

This is a "Favourite Places" thread and all you're doing is copying and pasting random rubbish onto it. That feels like spam to me. You could have of course put it all on the thread you created for this very thing. But for some reason you feel the need to spam it here.
Also it seems weird that you're critisising anonymity and unaccountability when you're the one who created this forum and have cited those things to be a bonus feature which would enable more people to post here. So which is it? Do you support it or not? If not, why don't you just dissallow it. It would make a lot more sense than to complain about something that you created yourself on purpose.

I'm not criticising anonymity or unaccountability (or even spelling). I'm drawing attention to the fact that your opinion, especially about me, is worth a lot less when you offer it from the shadows (or under a rock).
And I note your opinion, but you can decide what is spam or not on your own forum. You'll have to settle for venting on mine.

Er... in what way has this forum been 'disinfected'? It looks pretty infected to me.

Does it look that way to you? Maybe we have different perspectives.
I didn't bother moving a Leach post on page 1 to the 'sin bin'. Is that what's bothering you?

So you encourage people to post anonymously, then tell them their opinions aren't worth much for doing so. I can see why this place is popular.

So you encourage people to post anonymously, then tell them their opinions aren't worth much for doing so. I can see why this place is popular. Pretty much. Lots of people, who think I'm being too lax with moderation, would tell me to delete your posts, as all you've been doing so far is trolling the forum with endless jibes against me, and nothing about politics. Eddie certainly would've, and I can see how popular his place is, compared to even two years ago, but again, you couldn't say that over there. So get this hypocrisy out of your system, or don't. This isn't parliament, where language can be twisted to make up look like down when it suits. There is no circle to be squared. People can post anonymously, if they prefer, and at the same time be called out for posting venal, disingenuous garbage. Don't like that? Tough.

If complaining about Rupert Harden's greatest living fan posting things on the citizen website is politics, then pointing out how you're doing exactly the same thing has to be politics too. Unless it's different when you do it - but that kind of hypocrisy wouldn't be in your system would it? Copying and pasting rants about Rupert Harden are completely on topic on a "favourite places" thread right?

You still don't seem to have grasped that trolling a board with few visitors is kind of self-defeating. If you want to have a conversation, why would you prefer to have it here than on the Gloucestershire Boards, where there are currently four new topics, all of which have close to a hundred views, but zero replies. You could ask Eddie what the point is of posting topics that nobody cares about, but I guess that doesn't hold any interest for you? Or you could keep wasting your time here, not talking about politics, only making fatuous excuses for a local paper's failure to practise any standards of moderation, along with the generally poor standards of journalism. You don't need me for that, do you? Fine, then.
