Now I've been blocked from the Gloucester Labour Facebook page, after posting the questions I would raise at the next All Members Meeting, and those posts have been removed as well, I need to make a note of them because, like an idiot, I believed again that the people in charge wouldn't be so crass as to do that (even though Angela Porter already did it with 'Labour For Barton & Tredworth'), and didn't screen shot. So, to the best of my recollection, they were... Oh, wait, I copied and pasted: Joe Kilker I have questions for the next AMM, one of which is, can I have the minutes for the *last* two AMMs from Ellis Fincham, as he's ignored previous requests for them? Along with that, proper details of the constituency party's finances, glossed over in the only minutes I've ever received, and full disclosure of its role in Gloucester Climate Action Partnership. As a 'founder member' of that group, and the party's treasurer, Angela Porter can field both those questions. Transparency is the only way Gloucester Labour is 'going forward'. Any other direction, you'll be going without me, but not before I have those answers. And in a follow up comment: Oh, and one more question, will the party update the membership on any successes, or just progress, following the 'Community Organising' initiative kicked off in January, as it now seems to be conducted entirely behind closed doors? Louie Herbert? I finally, yesterday, put a simple question: When is the next AMM happening? Which seems to have been the last straw. This continuing control freakery suggests that nothing has been learned from a ten thousand plus drubbing in the election.

The answer to that last question came in an email I just received from Ellis Fincham. I won't quote his words, as that might be construed as breaking confidentiality, but I will publish my response:
Oh, and the AMM will be at the end of January. Again, confidentiality may preclude me from being more specific than that.

Quick update on this. It turned out that the two sets of minutes I was asking for didn't exist, that the membership secretary, Emma Clifford (who's now resigned from her position, and possibly from the party) didn't take any, although she was jotting down notes on a whiteboard in a meeting I attended. I was only informed of this months after I made a complaint to the relevant department of the party (complaints@labour.org.uk). And Louie Herbert has also resigned from his position. If anyone out there has access to the Gloucester Labour Members Facebook forum, I'd be grateful if they could confirm that it's still in use. www.facebook.com/groups/GlosLabour
