Been a while since I've posted one of these. In short, one of our officers, Matt Puttock (who, last I checked on the constabulary's website was back to being a constable, but it's quite easy to get a temporary sarge position) got himself an article in the Citizen, or whatever its called now. This attracted a number of comments, some of which were apparently bolshy enough to stir the defenders of the force, like louie3. They don't seem particularly rude, but some may have been deleted. I contributed a post of my own, which immediately went into moderation, presumably because the word 'sex' is on the filter, or you can't use asterisks. It took a few more posts to work this out, by which point I'd reached my posting limit for the day, it seemed. Except that now all the posts have been removed, apparently, so I can post again, elsepage.
So, for posterity, here it all is. I'll try to hotlink it, but if I can't, there's a vanilla url...

Is it wrong to post '*wrong*'?

Last I checked, this guy was a constable again, and deservedly so.
What does this even mean?
“We legged it after him but I was oblivious to what was going on as I was talking to the vulnerable guy."
'Kickabouts' in the park stopped a couple of years ago. Public meetings, which gave residents a real chance to get action from local police, long before that. The excuse? Low budgets, when getting a venue for free would be just a matter of asking. Our bobbies are now claiming that women offering sexual activity for money in the street aren't breaking the law, which is totally *wrong*. I guess there's no budget for teaching officers the law, either.
And anyone claiming that I'm not being fair has probably got less direct experience of our police than me, but they're welcome to prove otherwise...

Sexual activity? If that works, let's go with that, and re-post...

And my comment is 'awaiting moderation'. Just for the 'S' word, I wonder, when £££ spam goes right through? Hope that moderation is prompt...

You really are a pathetic bunch of misfits. You don't deserve any kind of policing, let alone good work.. Your negativity is sickening. So easy to sneer when you can't see beyond your own limited view. Could you do their job?
With attitudes like yours I wonder why the police ever bother at all. They should just let you get on with it,then you can whine about how useless they are.

Was not aware they were bothering.....look at the clear up rates......what other job could you get away with being so ineffective in. You should look at their effectiveness as a whole....the figures don't lie.

I was looking forward to that article. Sadly it was just a PC spouting PC social engineering. I expect it was actually written for him.
