Posting this here because I know that it will be compressed into a single lump of text below the Citizen's article about this application, Allotment holders 'not given enough time' to view new University of Gloucestershire expansion plans (they've known about the compression problem for months, but seem unwilling to do anything about it. Maybe they think it will encourage people not to post long comments). 'So where can the plans be viewed? Not on the council's planning site, judging by the search for applications linked to below. The only one for the campus goes back nearly three months, and is presumably the rejected one. If the new one is available at all, it is at the council offices, currently closed, obviously. 'Actually, I don't think there is a 'new one'. Just the old one, with the plans regarding the allotments 'dropped'. It's important to bear in mind that from my experience, deadlines don't count for much with the council, and people will find that if they submit comments for the old application, either by email or post or even to the planning site directly, they will still be accepted. That seems only reasonable, given how long controversial applications seem to remain in limbo, with no sign of when they will be considered at a planning meeting. 'Nice to see the Citizen raising this issue, but nicer if it stayed on top of it, and didn't let the council off the hook as it so often does. 15/01190/OUT'

I just sent this to the planning site, to prove the point about the nebulous nature of 'deadlines':
'I share the concerns of previous commenters, and note that the last objection to this application made in mid October was sent just two days before Xmas Day, so there should be no concerns about deadlines.'

And just for a fleeting moment, I'd thought they'd fixed the comment compression problem, but alas, not so...
