I included the article, but it's the comments below that matter. There are two sets. The lowest are the first, from Tuesday, and feature the first foray of the 'Harden Troll', posting the usual variations. The second are from the next day,after those first two posts were deleted, following my highlighting the matter with the paper's Twitter account. In between, there was another flurry of three or four, of the same ilk, again notified via Twitter, and again removed (*see edit note, bottom of page). What's important, though, is that the last set, or rather post, has still not been removed. I didn't tweet about it. I shouldn't need to This has been going on for at least a year, and probably a lot longer, and if it's within the capability of the paper's moderation company to put an end to this, it's hardly surprising that legitimate commenters have simply stopped posting, and maybe even visiting the site.
I raise the matter on this board because I think it's important that the paper gets its house in order before the coverage of the general election campaign begins in earnest. I will be asking the paper questions about this, and the clearly easy to manipulate ratings system. I'll report any answers I get.
Gloucester MP Richard Graham in row over use of Billy Twelvetrees picture

City MP Richard Graham has been forced to make a change to his website after he was caught using a picture of Gloucester Rugby player Billy Twelvetrees without permission.
The Tory politician had an image of the England centre on the main banner of his website along with a picture of the Docks and the Cathedral, but it was changed in February.
When asked by the Citizen earlier this month why the image had been taken down, Mr Graham dismissed the issue saying "I've changed the photos of Gloucester Rugby on my website several times over the years."
Now, Mr Graham has admitted that Gloucester Rugby wrote to him asking him to take it down. It has been replaced with a more general picture of a group of players.
A local Labour councillor asked Gloucester Rugby whether Mr Graham's use of the photograph was legal, which they decided it wasn't.
Mr Graham has accused the Labour party of trying to "smear Gloucester's Conservative MP and pretend that he and Gloucester Rugby don't get on."
He said: "I know Labour is desperate, but trying to drag Gloucester Rugby Club into politics in the year of World Cup Rugby at Kingsholm is very disappointing."
Mr Graham said Billy Twelvetrees himself was not involved in the decision, and that Gloucester Rugby's CEO Steve Vaughan told him the club were happy for him to use general images and that it was a "non-story".

So the bottom line is that Tricky Dicky Graham was uneconomical with the truth or he mispoke. I was going to vote for him, but I will only ever vote for someone who either appears to have an honest disposition or has not been found out yet. Sorry Richard, you've now failed that simple test.

The BANNED multi-troll "scruff_top" aka "DogDays" aka "MikeMorrisOBN" aka "Dbeej" aka Walker200 and Walker100a/b/c/d/e/f/g/ and so on, is upset because he has been found out using another of his Gloucester Rugby hating troll identities. Now he is on his big-baby anti-Rupert Harden mega-rant just because Harden proved him so wrong time after time over the last two seasons with his brilliant displays of tight head rugby.

No wonder he has been BANNED under his numerous previous troll identities.
